Hi there, I am Sara Daniels!
I love health and fitness! But that hasn't always been the case. I first got into fitness when it finally hit me that I needed to make a major change in my life. I was tired of hating my body, thinking negatively about myself and lacking confidence. My boyfriend encouraged me to try lifting weights and with the programming and coaching from Cristina Capron, I saw progress and was hooked.
Over a year later, I've tried all sorts of programs and learned about nutrition, macros, intuitive eating, bodybuilding and powerlifting. I learned that I what needed and enjoyed didn't exist. I loved feeling strong during my powerlifting programming but enjoyed the variations and freshness of my bodybuilding programming. So, I decided to start making my own programs that combined the two.
A little background info. I am from Flint, Michigan and attended Michigan State University where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 2013. I thought I wanted to go to medical school throughout college and at the last minute, I realized that while I was interested in health, social determinants of health were what I was passionate about. I started my Masters of Social Work in 2016 and will soon be graduating with a Macro Social Work degree in Leadership and Policy.
I was not an athlete, but I have always loved sports and competition. I spent the beginning of my fitness journey with my feet on the pavement and treadmill, running, and absolutely hating it. I never dared to step foot into the weight room because I thought that was for men. When I started exploring weights with my boyfriend, I realized everyone, especially women, belong in the weight room.
Loving my new lifestyle, I took the plunge and made a fitness Instagram. This new platform introduced me to the fitness industry and gave me the huge push to keep going! The rest is history!
Today, I am so excited to share what I've learned on my journey with you! Thank you for visiting!
